Here is an update of my artistic life since the end of the Crucible Artist Residency back in November 2024 ….
I have been involved in several small exhibitions at the Crafted Gallery, including my works from the residency, and joint exhibitions – Oamaru Noir as part of the Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations, and a ceramics exhibition by our local pottery club.
I am currently doing a glaze course with the Dunedin School of Art Ceramics Department,. I am learning a lot from this course and have been collecting lots of local materials to incorporate into my work.
The Forrester Gallery extension is now open and I have work for sale in the new gallery store.
I’m working towards contributing ceramic works to the revamped Museum of the Vanished World which is part of the Waitaki Whitestone UNESCO Global Geopark.
I continue to coordinate life drawing sessions; teach children’s art classes; am involved in weekly cafe drawing and with Pottery on Tyne; and secretary for the local rock and mineral club, which is about to have its 55th annual show in July.
